As of 17:00 AST little Tropical storm Kyle grew up and became a Catagory 1 hurricane.  I don't expect that it will gain any further strength because it is over colder water now, but you never know ( Read more... )

Hurricane Gustav is a Catagory 4 and, to put it mildly, doesn't look good for New Orleans and other points along the gulf coast.   Hanna is now a tropical Storm, and gods know where/what she will do and go.
